Dezeen

The Dezeen office was designed as a clean and efficient newsroom where the people, communication and stories take centre stage and create a vibrancy that brings the space to life.

The Dezeen teams work together in one large, light filled office overlooking the Regent’s Canal. In order to create a welcoming, spacious and fluid space, a set of shared work tables and other bespoke furniture was specially designed for the office. Named the Silhouette series, it incorporates shared work tables, a large meeting room table and a monolithic reception desk.

The nine black rectangular work tables are shared between four people and arranged in a grid – creating a social setting that allows fluid movement between the the tables, whilst giving each person their own side and dedicated workspace. As you enter the office you are welcomed by a dynamic, friendly view of people facing in all directions.

A large, magnetic, glass notice board spans an entire wall, reflecting the light from the windows back into the room. The back of the space contains a meeting and interview room with glazed slot windows looking back into the main space as well as a dedicated film editing suite. At the front of the space a plant-filled lounge area looks out over the Regent’s Canal.
